CBD oil is popping up everywhere these days and with recent consumer surveys indicating that up to twenty-five percent of Americans have tried CBD in the last two years, you may be considering trying it yourself. As a Forbes featured company, we here at Happy Hemp even more proud of our products than we are our accolades. Our Happy Hemp CBD oil tinctures use hemp oil extract and our bottles come in a range of concentrations from 50mg up to 1500mg per bottle. With the addition of fractionated coconut oil and peppermint and stevia for flavor, our entirely plant-based products aim at making you happy with our hemp.

    FAQ’s

Is there a difference between a CBD oil and a CBD tincture?

While both are concentrated forms of CBD there is a slight difference between the two. CBD oil is made by extracting CBD from hemp flowers, it is the purest form but it can contain the taste of the plant. Some people love the flavor, some don’t, that’s where tinctures come in. CBD tinctures contain CBD suspended in an alcohol solution with a mix of essential oils for both flavor and enhanced effects. A CBD oil tincture is a hybrid of the two — CBD blended with oil and essential oils for flavor.

    Why CBD Oils and Tinctures?

Many people use CBD oils and tinctures because they are easy to use — simply squeeze the desired amount under your tongue or into your beverage and you’re good to go. These products usually come with an eyedropper marked with measurements to the tenth of a ML for precision application. They also tend to be available in stronger formulations so if you prefer a higher dose, say 25-50mg, you can order a bottle containing 1500mg, giving you good value for money.

Why Premier Hemp CBD Oil Tincture?

Our full-spectrum CBD oil tincture contains many of the naturally occurring compounds of the hemp plant for a more holistic product. Some believe that by consuming all of the compounds together, including terpenes (the compounds that give plants flavors), and CBG, there is an “entourage effect” where each compound works in connection with the other.

We take our products seriously. We extract our CBD from high quality hemp and clarify it to remove any THC. We lab test all of our products to ensure the dose of CBD printed on the label is what you get. We proudly display the lab results on our site so no need to take our word for it, you can check it out yourself! In addition, Happy Hemp has received national attention, including from publications like Health MJ and LA Weekly.

Finally, we offer a subscription service where you get a bottle of our finely crafted CBD tincture each month for a discounted price. You have a lower risk of running out of your favorite products, and get a loyalty discount, a double win!

Will CBD oil help chemotherapy related nausea?

There is “considerable evidence” suggesting that cannabinoids have an antiemetic effect. That means that cannabinoids may keep you from vomiting.  As stated in the paper, ‘All reported clinical trials for the effectiveness of cannabinoid compounds on chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting have involved oral use of cannabinoids, which may be less effective than sublingual or inhaled cannabinoids”. CBD oil can just as easily be placed sublingually (under the tongue) as added to a beverage so you can find the method that you feel works best.

Synthetic versions of CBD (in conjunction with synthetic THC) dronabinol (registered names of Marinol)  have been approved by the FDA for treatment of chemotherapy related nausea and vomiting. There are literally thousands of stories by chemotherapy patients stating that CBD oil helped stimulate their appetites after chemo treatment but they are considered anecdotal evidence.

Does CBD oil help control seizures?

One area where CBD has been more extensively studied is in its potential to reduce seizures. According to the authors of this study, CBD is better suited as an anticonvulsant than THC and, since it isn’t psychoactive, has fewer side effects as well. Interestingly, it also mentions that CBDV, another compound found in the cannabis plant, may have some anticonvulsant properties as well and indicates some basis for the belief in the entourage effect.

Epiodlex is the trade name of a synthetic form of CBD that secured FDA-approved for treating seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome or Dravet syndrome.

In addition to these studies, there is a mountain of anecdotal stories regarding CBD and epilepsy.

Will CBD oil make me high?

Since CBD is not psychoactive, it won’t get you high. Great news for those who simply want to use CBD without any impairment.

How do I know what dose of CBD oil to use?

If you’re new to CBD, we recommend starting with a small dose, maybe 5-10mg and working up from there for your desired effect. Although in at least one scientific study the participants used up to 600mg of CBD, that amount is nowhere near necessary. Start slow and listen to your body. Also, before incorporating CBD oil into your lifestyle, check with your doctor to make sure there are no possible interactions with any medication you are currently taking.

Is CBD oil safe to use?

CBD has no known abuse potential and is usually well-tolerated, even in doses upwards of 150mg. It is considered by science to be a non-toxic substance and since it won’t get you high, it shouldn’t interfere with your daily life. As noted above, check with your doctor for medication interactions — after all, even grapefruit interferes with some prescriptions.

    Is CBD oil legal?

All of our products, including our CBD tinctures, are derived from USA grown hemp. Our tinctures are tested and certified to contain less than 0.3 percent THC, in line with federal guidelines for hemp products. Sorry, we can’t ship outside of the USA, even if cannabis is legal in your home country due to a veritable nightmare of regulation.
